a rather late brief introduction

Sadie - hebrew for princess HA! is my toy poodle who will be turning two on October 26. She is a little fur ball as my roommate Beth likes to call her and a fun fifth roommate.

I found Sadie while I was in New York doing an internship. My parents had promised I could have a dog once college came to an end so I scoured the internet for countless hours looking for any poodle that wouldn't break their bank account. Who knew 4 pounds of fuzz would cost around $1,000... well not this little lady! She was a discount... a diamond in the rough... one of a kind. We drove 2 hours to Lafayette, TN to retrieve Sadie from the local Captain D's which is apparently normal when you are purchasing from a breeder in BFE?? So on this fall afternoon in 2008, Sadie pranced her way into my life... for the next 17 years. Don't worry I was not fully aware of the poodle life expectancy at this point but have fully come to terms that I probably wont catch a man until I'm at least 39. The joys of being the POODLE LADY.

well ladies and gentlemen - meet SADIE - the 5 pound spunky tomboy toy poodle who along with my favorite thing in the world, shoes, inspired this blog as something to make people laugh and also potentially consider adopting what I can now honestly say is the best breed in the world.
